Somewhere in the UK in the early 2000s, a teenager who was eager to put a CD into his computer and installed the game maker application. I can’t even remember what the program is called at this point, but allows me to collect simple games – PongSoccer -esque, a cricket game that looks like A Football manager Matching, and semi -interactive screensavers -which I show off to my friends.
Armed with the imagination of a child who grew up in the golden era of video games, I often have more ambitious (and Sometimes Original ideas), but they are hampered by the lack of focus of teenagers and the constraints of the platform itself. I don’t know how to make a code, no one around can teach me, and I am limited to the scenes and sliders of the tools that I allow to use.

At some point, I left my ambition to become a game developer. I don’t have the necessary skills and I don’t have a way to get it. Internet is blooming and there is no doubt that there is learning material out there, but I cannot understand it without understanding the basis of computer science.
Through a combination of luck and talent to achieve opportunities when they appear alone, I finally get a career in the field of technology. My job does not require me to learn to make a code, but I still do it because of mere curiosity, determined to use most of the people and resources that suddenly surround me.
This year, I have a sudden desire to return to game development. The game industry is a massive messy studio, and there are people out there who make money with indie games that I feel I can make, remembering time and inspiration. So I’m looking for the best way to start.
I finally chose Pygame, which is a Python library with a function to handle things like Windows, graphics, and sound. I have used Python widely in my work and know how to deal with the underlying logic and manipulate numbers, so it’s the same and interesting and interesting to know that most work – provides graphs to become graphs to graphics for that – provide graphics to make graphs for that – provide graphics to make graphs to become graphics for that represent The numbers are just a layer of sugar in the cake.
The freedom that I dream of as a teenager is now widespread in front of me. I am not bound by the obstacle of an editor, and basically I can encode whatever 2D game I can dream of. Sometimes there are many code lines needed for simple features, but the price I want to pay access to so much potential, and I find pleasure in optimizing the code, solving functions, and increasing efficiency.
However, I have a full time job, and I will not stop for my arm’s opportunity to become the next indie unicorn. Therefore game development is a limited hobby at my free time, at least for now. That also means that my project needs to have a very controlled scope – I will not make it very far if I try to build next Grand Theft Auto In a small bursts in the morning and on weekends.

By remembering that, I have decided that my first game will be a simple space shooter inspired by some of my childhood classics, such as Luxury performance. This genre features a simple gameplay loop that can be repeated endless with extra-ups and enemy types, and therefore seems to be a good choice for limited time developers that need to look at regular results in order to remain motivated.
I will post an update both here and in X when I start perfecting the game, and in the meantime I have directed my mind back to the game that I like, trying to choose what makes them special. At some point I might have time for a more magnificent project, and when I do it, I want to design being prepared so that I can start running.
Should I maintain momentum and start building more complex games, I want to make my game thought We will play in 2025 when I was a child – a game that uses the power of extra processing today for new systems and ideas, not only to increase graphics loyalty. I have to start a small one, of course, but I still dream that one day I might run a small studio, and finally I have a tool to start.
